$250 Sessions are 90-120 minutes, include 4-5 outfit changes, ONE or TWO Formal pictures, up to TWO locations and you can bring your family, pets and/or friends. You'll receive 35-38 enhanced images in an online gallery with a print release and your choice of one of the following; 16 wallet sized prints, one 12 x 12 collage or a custom designed Graduation announcement.
Don’t I have to use the school yearbook company? No, you are not required to use the school yearbook photographer. They are hired to make sure that your formal is done for the yearbook. You are free to go with any senior photographer you like.
Do you charge more than the school photographer? There is a larger charge upfront when you have custom senior photos done. But, then YOU get the digital images and can choose to print what you want, where you want!
How many poses will I have? There is not a set number of poses during your session. This session will be customized to fit your needs as well as the outfit changes and the props that you bring with you.
What happens if I have an unexpected blemish? Blemishes happen so you should not be worried about that. No one has perfect skin and we are prepared for that. Make up will help to cover up most blemishes but even if it does not we can retouch the images to remove any blemishes that can be seen.
What do we do if it rains? We never schedule by the weather forecast because often times it's wrong and sometimes it only rains for a few minutes, or it clears by the time it's time for your session! So don't worry if it is supposed to rain on the day of your session! We will keep an eye on things and make the decision at the last minute if we need to reschedule. Many times once the rain stops we get stunning gorgeous soft light that makes beautiful portraits!
What should I wear? Stripes, plaids and small busy prints do not translate well on camera. Large plaids or prints are fine. Solids photograph much better! Please bring a variety of color. Color, color!! Not too much white or too much black please. Vary the style, all one look (like t shirts) gets boring. Vary the dress level, bring some dressy, some medium and some casual. Remember, it is best to do one or two outfits that mom will like, and then we can do the stuff you like. The faster you change the more varied looks you will get. Please have your accessories/shoes with each outfit to make changing quicker. We suggest you bring double what you think we will do so we have more to pick from.
Tips for the Perfect Session!
Props Are A Good Idea Your senior pictures should be all about you and what you are about. This is where props come into play. Be sure to bring a few things to your session that will help to define you. A few examples are your pet, your car or motorcycle, any sports uniforms, trophies, instruments, or even your best friend or siblings. These props will help for us to capture what you are all about but in a way that is very special. The best news is that you will never pay an extra charge for this option.
What To Do With Your Hair? It is never a good idea to change your hair style in a dramatic way before your portrait session. As mentioned before it is recommended for you to get a haircut about a week before your scheduled session. If you are a person that colors your hair do not forget to do so. No one wants to have their roots showing in their pictures. Even highlights should be completed about two weeks prior to your session to keep them from standing out in the images. If you would like to change your hairstyle during your session that is fine and a great idea but you should make the changes easy and be sure that they do not take a lot of time. If they take too much time you will end up losing time in front of the camera. Tanning In today’s world tanning has become very popular. However, it is important that you do not over do the tanning bed or time in the sun. We recommend that you stay away from the sun and/or a tanning bed three days before the session.
During the session please sit back and relax. Dawn will give you tons of ideas and directions throughout your session to help you feel at ease. She finds the best photos to be the candid ones because that is when you are the most relaxed. Senior sessions typically take about 60-120 minutes with as many outfit changes as we can fit into the session. You may be nervous at first, but don't worry - you'll soon relax and find your inner model. Most locations do not have facilities for changing clothes, so plan on changing in your car, or wear clothing like bike shorts and a camisole under your outfits. Parents (especially Mom) are welcome to join us and even jump in for some quick photos.
